Alok Chatterjee was a well-known film, theatre actor & stage director who started his career in 1987 after graduating from the National School of Drama, New Delhi as a gold medallist. His famous plays were ‘Death of a Salesman’, ‘Nat Samrat’ and ‘Anandmath’ in 2022. He was honoured with the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2019. He made his acting debut in the Bengali film ‘Patalghar’ in 2003. He later featured as a supporting actor in Hindi movies such as ‘Utthaan’ (2006), ‘Haseen Dillruba’ (2021), ‘Muqaam’ (2022), ‘30 Hours Survival: Gauraiya Live’ (2024) and ‘Patna Shuklla’ (2024). He also appeared in supporting roles in TV series like ‘Uttar Katha’, ‘Gaon Hamara, Shahar Se Pyara’, and ‘Maharani’, etc.
