Anjali Devi was an Indian actress and model who started her acting career in Bollywood with the 1936 film Raja Harishchandra. She has acted in over 350 films, most of them are Telugu films and some are Hindi. She is best known for her role as Devi Sita in the mythological drama, Lava Kusa (1963). Other Bollywood movies featuring her are Ladki (1953), Devta (1956), Shri Ram Vanvas (1977), etc. She married Indian music director and filmmaker P. Adinarayana Rao in 1948 and the couple had two sons.
