Aasha Singh Jaiswal was a film and television actress and renowned mimicry artist who was best known for her role in B.R. Chopra’s iconic television series Mahabharat (1988) where she played the wife of Dronacharya, Kripi. Aasha began her acting career with the 1979 film Ganga Aur Geeta and went on to play supporting roles in several popular films, including Yeh Aag Kab Bhujegi (1991), Do Matwale (1991), Baazigar (1993), Divya Shakti (1993), Aag (1994), Deewaanapan (2001), and Bobby Jasoos (2014). She passed away in Mumbai on 22 August 2026 following age-related health complications.
