Bijon Bhattacharya was an Indian film and theatre actor and a prominent playwright and dramatist from West Bengal. He was mostly active in Bengali films. He was known for writing the story of the 1954 romantic film Nagin, directed by Nandlal Jaswantlal. Bijon Bhattacharya was married to famous Bengali writer, Mahasweta Devi and they had a son named Nabarun Bhattacharya who was also a writer.
