Dinyar Contractor was a theater, TV and Bollywood/Tollywood actor who made his acting debut in 1966. He acted in many Gujarati and Hindi theater plays and as a comedian in many Hindi films like Baazigar, Daraar, 36 China Town, Baadshah, Khiladi and Jhankaar Beats. Some of his known TV works were in serials like Dam Dama Dam, Hum Sab Ek Hain, Khichdi, Shubh Mangal Savadhan, Kabhi Idhar Kabhi Udhar, etc. He was conferred with the Padma Shri in January 2019.
