Faisal Saif is a writer, producer and director who primarily worked in TV and Bollywood films. As a student, Faisal was never interested in studies but preferred to watch films and learn from them as he aspired to join the film industry. He was a big fan of filmmaker Balu Mahendra whose films he followed closely during his younger days. He started his Bollywood career by assisting director Shashilal Nair in Angaar and Grahan. He got his first break as a writer and director in 2006 with Jigyaasa and thereafter went on to produce movies like Sheitaan (2017) and Danger (unreleased), and direct movies such as Come December (2006), 5 Ghantey Mien 5 Crore (2012), and the controversial action-drama Main Hoon Rajinikanth in 2015. Some of the TV series he wrote and directed were Kavita Bhabhi, Ashuddhi and the yet-to-release Shraap.
