Hema Sardesai is an Indian playback singer and lyricist, who hails from the coastal state of Goa. She has sung several songs for Bollywood and released many Indipop albums. Her song ‘Aawara Bhawren Jo Hole Hole Gaaye’ from Sapnay (1997), picturised on Kajol, helped her rise to fame and become a popular singer in Bollywood. Other important songs of her career include ‘Ishq Sona Hai’ from Biwi No. 1 (1999), ‘Chali Chali Phir Chali’ from Baghban (2003), ‘Badal Pe Paon Hai’ from Chak De! India (2007) and many more.
