Wife of famous yesteryear actor Dev Anand, Kalpana Kartik was an actress who had a short-lived acting career in the Hindi film industry, in which she starred only in six movies. She made her debut in Bollywood with Guru Dutt directed Baazi (1951), alongside Dev Anand, which was produced by Dev Anand’s production house Navketan Films. She was further seen in Aandhiyan (1952), Humsafar (1953), Taxi Driver (1954), House No. 44 (1955), and Nau Do Gyarah (1957). In all her movies her co-star was Dev Anand, thus the two got close. They got married in 1954 and had two children including Devina and Suneil Anand.
