Prashant Tamang was an actor and playback singer whose claim to fame was winning the ‘Indian Idol Season 3’ in 2007. Prashant Tamang was born in Darjeeling, West Bengal in 1983 who later went on to serve in the Kolkata police and featured in Hindi as well as Nepali music albums before venturing into Nepali language films like ‘Gorkha Paltan' (2010), ‘Nishani’ (2014), ‘Pardesi’ (2015) and ‘Ye Maya Hanaima’ (2016). He acted in the second season of Amazon Prime’s crime thriller series ‘Pataal Lok’ and will be seen alongside Salman Khan in ‘Battle of Galwan’ in 2026. He died in his sleep on 11 January 2026.
