Shiv Kumar Khurana was a prominent producer and director who primarily worked in the Hindi film industry in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Popularly known as Shiv Kumar, he made his directorial debut in 1965 with the action-adventure film Tarzan And Circus which starred Azaad Irani, Chitra and Ranjan Kapoor. Thereafter he directed well-known films like Ehsan (1970), Begunah (1970), Guru Ho Jaa Shuru (1979), Be-Aabroo (1983), Inteqaam Ki Aag (1986), Bud-Naseeb (1986), Mitti Aur Sona (1989), Badnaam (1990), Sone Ki Zanjeer (1992), Jaalsaaz (1999), etc. He also produced films such as Ang Se Ang Lagale, Hum Tum Aur Woh, and Dagabaz and worked with popular actors like Vinod Mehra, Ashok Kumar, Vinod Khanna, Joy Mukherjee, Chunky Pandey, etc. He died in Mumbai on 25 October 2022 after battling age-related health issues.
