Sulochana Kadam popularly known as Sulochana Chavan was a well-known playback singer in Marathi, Hindi and Gujarati film industries. She was famous for singing Marathi folklore songs, Lavanis in Marathi films like Malhari Martand (1965), Sawaal Majha Aika! (1964) and others. She also was known for her Hindi songs from films such as Sunehre Din (1949), Shri Ganesh Janma (1951), Sagar (1951), and Jungle Ka Jawahar (1953), etc. She started singing at the early age of six and thereafter met veteran director V. Shantaram who introduced her to playback singing. She was married to well-known director S. Chavan.
