Aakrosh is an action thriller film that revolves around the honour killings that continue to be predominant in rural India. The movie is about the clueless disappearance of three medical students from Delhi who go missing in a small village called Jhanjhar. After the student’s movement and media demand, the case goes to CBI. The government orders two CBI officers – Siddhant Chaturvedi (Akshaye Khanna) and Pratap Kumar (Ajay Devgn) to investigate the case. The two officers struggle with the case because of the corrupt politics in the village and the ignorant people who didn’t wish to cooperate with the officers. Even after not receiving any help from the local police the two CBI officers get down to adopting their own way to crack down upon the missing students.
