Afwaah is a thriller drama starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bhumi Pednekar, Sharib Hashmi, Sumit Kaul, Sumeet Vyas, Rockey Raina, and TJ Bhanu. The film is directed by Sudhir Mishra and jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Anubhav Sinha's Benaras Mediaworks. The story is that of a political heiress named Nivi (Bhumi Pednekar) who is engaged to a leader of a political party and is expected to become the next chief minister of the state. For some reason Nivi finds herself trapped in this political system that has been set up by her father. Nivi one day decides to run away only to bump into Rahab (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) a top advertising professional as they get entangled in a vicious rumour created by the social media machinery and have no place to hide. How a rumour ‘Afwaah’ changes the course of their lives and turns it upside down, forms the remaining part of this political thriller drama.
