Alag Alag is a musical romantic drama. The movie follows the story of two people - Chandni (Tina Munim) and Neeraj (Rajesh Khanna). Chandni is a village girl, who dreams of leading a rich lifestyle, thus travels to Bombay, meets a rich man, Dr. Rana (Shashi Kapoor), and starts staying with him. Meanwhile, Neeraj dreams of being a playback singer, and finds help from a starlet, Sarita (Bindu), and later falls in love with her and gets married. Chandni and Neeraj think that their lives are all set, but the two are unaware that they have merely thrown their lives in danger. Will the two be able to set everything right for themselves?
