Amar Prem Ki Prem Kahani is a gay rom-com that revolves around Amar (Sunny Singh), who stays in Punjab in a joint family and doesn't reveal to his family that he is gay. To avoid getting married to a girl, he escapes to London to experience his newfound freedom. On the flight, he meets Prem (Aditya Seal), an Indian gay restauranteur who stays in London. Amar and Prem are attracted to each other and plan to marry, but a phone call from India makes Amar leave London. On his arrival, Amar is made to marry Mandy (Pranutan Bahl) but during their engagement, Prem reaches the venue and reveals the truth about their relationship to the former's family. All hell breaks loose while Amar is in a fix to follow his heart or family duty?
