Article 15 highlights one of our fundamental rights given by the Indian constitution that prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. The story is set against the backdrop of the 2014 Badaun gangrape and based on true incidents. An honest cop (Ayushmann Khurrana) is assigned the case to investigate the murder and rape of two lower caste girls. Despite knowing who is behind it no one dares to arrest them as they are from a higher caste. How the senior cop goes about solving the case and making the locals aware of Article 15 is what this thriller story is all about.
