Badrinath ki Dulhania is a romantic comedy-drama that narrates the story of Badrinath ‘Badri’ Bansal (Varun Dhawan), the son of a wealthy man. Badri also has an elder brother and sister-in-law who love him but cannot do anything against their father. Badri meets Vaidehi Trivedi (Alia Bhatt), an independent and educated girl, at a wedding and instantly falls in love with her. Badri doesn’t want anything from Vaidehi but to marry her. However, Vaidehi is uninterested in Badri’s marriage proposal and yearns to pursue her dream of becoming an air hostess. Badri gets to know about Vaidehi’s whereabouts and travels to Singapore to ask her after all why did she do all this?
