Bajirao Mastani is an epic historical romantic drama based on the story of the Maratha Peshwa Bajirao. The movie is set in the 18^th century, where Maratha Peshwa Bajirao (Ranveer Singh) is married to Kashibai (Priyanka Chopra). He encounters a warrior princess Mastani (Deepika Padukone), the daughter of a Rajput King and his Persian Muslim consort. The two falls in love, however, Mastani’s status is distressed as she is half-Muslim. Despite facing the opposition of their families and society, the two continue to make their love triumph but not before facing a volley of threats and opposition from all quarters.
