Bareilly Ki Barfi is a romantic comedy and the screen adaptation of Nicolas Barreau's book 'Ingredients of Love'. The movie narrates the story of a young girl named Bitti (Kriti Sanon) who has turned down a few marriage proposals because of her attitude. Bitti happens to read a book one day which narrates her own story and decides to meet the author Pritam Vidrohi. Her quest to meet the author takes her to the publisher, Chirag (Ayushmann Khurrana), who falls in love with her but finds it hard to tell her the truth that he is the real author of the book who goes with the pen name of Pritam Vidrohi.
