Black is a family drama, which follows the exorcising tale of a girl with visual and hearing impairment, Michelle (Rani Mukherji). Michelle loses her eyesight and hearing when she was two years old and grows up as a violent child. Her life changes when an elderly alcoholic teacher named Debraj (Amitabh Bachchan) enters her life and decides to turn her into a person who can express and communicate. Michelle grows up into an expressive woman, who is expertly signed. She decides to take a graduation degree with the help of her teacher Debraj but faces a lot of problems and fails consecutively for two years. Things get worse when Debraj develops Alzheimer’s and starts forgetting everything, even Michelle. Michelle doesn’t give up and takes on the challenge to complete her graduation and make Debraj proud. However, with her disability will she still succeed in her goal?
