Chalo Dilli is a comedy road drama that revolves around Mihika Banerjee (Lara Dutta), a successful investment banker, who misses her flight to Delhi, but she needs to go to Delhi by any means to meet her husband. Mihika encounters a talkative man named Manu Gupta (Vinay Pathak) who helps her to reach Delhi. The two travel by road and train, and for the first time Mihika experiences difficulties that never bothered her in her high-class lifestyle. The journey gives Mihika the memories of a lifetime before meeting her husband.
