Daal Roti is a tale of young people who leave their traditional farming in the villages because they believe it to be a business of loss and poverty and move to the city in search of better opportunities and incomes. The four young people in the story struggle to make ends meet in the city, but their circumstances force them to return to their village, where they discover that even farming can provide them with respectable bread and butter.
