Dhai Aakhar is a story based on the novel 'Tirthatan Ke Baad' written by Amrik Singh Deep which narrates the story of a woman middle-class woman, Harshita (Mrinal Kulkarni) who rebuilds her life after years of being in an abusive marriage where she was beaten and ill-treated by her husband (Rohit Kokate). She meets Sridhar (Harish Khanna) who understands her and encourages her to start a new chapter in her life.
