Ek Rishtaa: The Bond of Love is a family drama. The movie revolves around a rich businessman named Vijay Kapoor (Amitabh Bachchan), who lives with his wife and four children. His only son, Ajay Kapoor (Akshay Kumar) goes abroad for further studies and returns after completing education. During the same time, Vijay’s eldest daughter Priti (Juhi Chawla) gets married to Rajesh (Mohnish Behl). Ajay and Vijay fall apart because of the differences in their ideologies and Ajay moves out of the house. Soon after, he marries his girlfriend Nisha (Karisma Kapoor) and starts his own business. However, he realises the evil plans of his brother-in-law, Rajesh, who wants to take over Vijay’s fortune. Ajay decides to step up and save his family. Will Vijay forgive Ajay and unite with him?
