Ek Villain Returns is the sequel to the 2014 super hit film EK Villian which takes the narration forward where terror is back along with the ‘Smiley Mask’ but this time the evil is not alone as it seems to have found a partner in crime. The story revolves around Gautam Mehra (Arjun Kapoor) who is a spoilt brat of a millionaire businessman and is involved with an upcoming singer Aarvi (Tara Sutaria). Another story which runs parallel to it is that of a cab driver Bhairav (John Abraham) who is involved with a sales girl working in a garment store named Rasika (Disha Patani). One thing is common between Gautam Mehra and Bhairav that is that both are involved in a one-sided love affair but as fate would have it their paths cross when things take a bloody and deadly turn which sees a series of murders taking place in their quest for love and hatred. As things become disturbing and deadlier the police in called in to get hold of the criminal mind behind it. How the two lovers choose to fulfil their love stories to decide who is the ‘Hero’ and who is the ‘Villain’ forms the climax of this dark and intense thriller.
