Gangaajal is an action crime drama that revolves around Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar (Ajay Devgn), who is moved to Tejpur, a city with a high crime rate. After moving there, he learns the reality. The police of the city are controlled by the don Sadhu Yadav and his son. He observes that most police officers, the politicians and local contractors in the city are corrupt and only care for money. He vows to end corruption and crime in the city. However, his journey won’t be easy as he would have to stand against the corrupt police officers and politicians, while dealing with the dreaded criminal Sadhu and his son. Will Amit succeed in making Tejpur a safe city again?
