Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela is a romantic musical drama. The movie is loosely based on William Shakespeare’s play ‘Romeo and Juliet’, and revolves around Ram Rajadi (Ranveer Singh), character based on Romeo, and Leela Sanera (Deepika Padukone), character based on Juliet. The two are madly in love with each other but can’t stay together as their families, Rajadi and Sanera, have been enemies for the past 500 years. The two get married but circumstances lead them to sacrifice their love for the happiness and honour of their families.
