Guzaarish is a musical romantic drama that revolves around Ethan Mascarenhas (Hrithik Roshan), a former magician, who becomes quadriplegic after an accident in one of his magic shows. Ethan’s nurse, Sofia D’Souza (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), has been taking care of him for 12-years. After 14-years of suffering, he finally files an appeal to the court for euthanasia. While he awaits the verdict, a young magic enthusiast, Omar Siddiqui (Aditya Roy Kapur), comes to him to learn the magic from him and convinces Ethan to pass on his legacy. Does Ethan pass on his legacy to Omar, will his request for euthanasia be accepted, all this is revealed in the climax of the story.
