Hero is a romantic action drama that is a remake of the 1983 film Hero directed by Subhash Ghai. The movie revolves around Sooraj Kaushik (Sooraj Pancholi), the son of an underworld gangster Suryakant ‘Pasha’ Ranade. Under the instruction of his father, Sooraj kidnaps Radha Mathur (Athiya Shetty), the daughter of the city's Chief of Police. Sooraj tricks Radha into believing that he received instructions from the police to take her away. The two keep moving from one place to another, and after spending some time together, they start falling in love with each other. However, trouble ensues when they are tracked down by police and Pasha’s men.
