Himmat Aur Mehanat is an action comedy drama. The movie revolves around Jyoti (Sridevi), a young woman appointed as a nurse by a wealthy man named Madan (Shammi Kapoor). Jyoti wins Madan’s trust, who lets her run the household to some extent. Soon after, Madan’s son Vijay (Jeetendra) returns from abroad after completing his studies. He falls in love with her and marries her. However, the differences start to arise between Madan and Jyoti, and after giving birth to a son, Jyoti is accused of having an affair with another man. Due to such misunderstandings, Jyoti is forced to leave the house. Will Vijay get some sense and bring his wife and son back home?
