HIT: The First Case is a suspense thriller that revolves around Vikram (Rajkummar Rao) who works as a police officer in the HIT (Homicide Intervention Team) Department. Vikram is known for his smart and sharp skills to solve crucial cases with an ability to capture even the smallest of details. He is in the good books of his senior as well and in love with his colleague and forensic official Neha (Sanya Malhotra). Vikram has a past due to which he occasionally suffers from PTSD. Vikram is given the case of a young girl named Preethi who goes missing on the highway. Due to his PTSD he is not able to handle the case properly as he feels that somewhere the case is connected to his past. He takes break only to comeback stronger to solve the case.
