Hulchul is a romantic comedy-drama. The movie revolves around Jai Chand Jakhar (Akshaye Khanna) and Anjali Pathak (Kareena Kapoor), who belong to feuding families. Years ago, one of the Jai’s brothers was in love with Anjali’s mother, but the match was disapproved by Anjali’s grandparents. Things got worse when Anjali’s grandfather accidentally killed Jai’s mother and forcefully married his daughter to another man. Jai’s father Angar (Amrish Puri) killed Anjali’s grandfather and was sent to jail for 14 years. After returning, Angar declares that no woman would be allowed on his property. He still holds a grudge against Anjali’s family and puts his youngest son Jai to take revenge from the family, by pretending to fall in love with Anjali and then leave her, but the two eventually fall in love. However, will the two lovers unite despite the age-old family feud?
