Hum Banjarey: The Reluctant Crime is a social crime drama about rural India where still many people do not have a house or village of their own leading a life of gypsies who constantly travel from one place to another to make a living for themselves. Jokhu, Gogai and Basanti are vagabonds who embark on a quest to obtain ration cards and aadhar cards from the local authorities to avail benefits from the government. The three of them always end up meeting with constant rejection. Driven to desperation, they resort to committing a crime that sets them on a perilous path.
