Hum To Mohabbat Karega is fun filled love story. Rajiv (Bobby Deol) is a waiter in a restaurant owned by Kutti (Johny Lever). Geeta (Karisma Kapoor) is a popular host on a news channel. Rajiv is a great fan of Geeta and nourishes romantic dreams. A murder is committed next to the restaurant and Rajiv had taken lunch for the victim and was the last person to meet the victim. Geeta comes to Rajiv hoping that she would get some information about the killer if Rajiv has seen the killer. Rajiv is thrilled to see her and lies to her that he is the eye witness to the murder in order to keep contact with Geeta. The murder is committed by Ketu (Shakti Kapoor) and his elder brother (Dalip Tahil) heads a gang involved in fake currency racket. When they get the news that Rajiv is the eye witness, they go out to kill Rajiv. The police takes Rajiv in custody and forces him to provide with the description of the killer. Rajiv provides a description which on feeding on a computer is a portray of Kutti. Police arrests Kutti while Bobby confesses to Karisma who leaves him angry. Geeta's brother is killed by the same gang. How Rajiv helps Geeta find the killer is the rest of the story.
