I Love You is a romantic thriller that revolves around three people – Satya Prabhakar, Vishal and Rakesh Oberoi who work for the same company. Satya (Rakul Preet Singh) is an independent and strong woman who has been proposed to by her boyfriend and colleague Vishal (Akshay Oberoi) as both plans to leave the city later in the night for their Diwali break. Satya’s close friend, working in another department is Rakesh Oberoi (Pavail Gulati) who is a good friend of Satya. As Satya tries to leave her office on that night contacts Vishal but is unable to get in touch leaving her worried. She also finds her driver missing and completely alone in her office building unable to get out. She contacts Rakesh for help who arrives in time to rescue her but things take a u-turn when they discover her driver's dead body in her car. How Satya takes up the fight for survival to survive this one-night forms the remaining part of the plot.
