Jeevan Ki Shatranj is an action crime drama. The movie follows the story of an honest CID Inspector Vijay Sharma (Mithun Chakraborty), who lives a wealthy lifestyle with his wife, son and sister. A Police Commissioner gets killed and the case of investigation is assigned to Vijay. He finally gets hold of the evidence against the killer of the commissioner. However, his family has to face a series of troubles and also the evidence goes missing. With no luck on his side, will Vijay be able to capture the killer and get him punished for all his actions?
