Jodhaa Akbar is an epic historical romance. It follows the story of Mughal Emperor ‘Akbar the Great’ and his wife Jodha Bai. Jodhaa (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), a Rajput princess, is obligated to marry Mughal Emperor Akbar (Hrithik Roshan) for political reasons. Eventually, the two start to admire each other. Following Jodhaa's advice, Akbar travels through the common folk in disguise to understand their problems. He then proclaims that Hindustan will be a peaceful and prosperous land if people respect and honor each other’s religion. It was Jodhaa and Akbar’s respect for each other that led to true love.
