Josef: Born in Grace is a social drama-based on the story adapted from ‘Joseph’ by Umakanta Mahapatra. The story revolves around Josef (Subrat Dutta), who is an orphan and is sent away to another parish by his guardian, Father O’ Hara (Victor Banerjee), to learn cooking. He returns as a talented cook, but also with a habit of drinking. All he wants to know is about his mother whom he misses and keeps visiting the dilapidated house where she used to stay. Despite many attempts he finds it hard to forget his mother till he meets a local lady. Will the lady reform him or will he continue as a drunkard all his life?
