K.G.F.: Chapter 1 is a period action drama set at the backdrop of the Kolar Gold Fields which was discovered and identified by the Indian government-commissioned officials as a gold ore in the southern part of India's then Mysore State in 1951 which currently comes under the Kolar district, Karnataka state. The story is that of Raja Krishnappa Bairya a.k.a. Rocky (Yash) who as a young boy led a life in poverty along with his mother. After his mother's death Rocky becomes a high-profile assassin who works under the associates of K.G.F.'s cult which is not just ruled by the mafia and underworld but also the politicians. To put end to all the illegal dealings and the prevailing mafia rule in K.G.F, how Rocky enters the prohibited zone and rises as a liberator forms the remaining part of the story.
