Kaagaz is a satirical comedy based on true events about a common man named Bharat Lal (Pankaj Tripathi) who runs a music band shop in a small village in Uttar Pradesh and is happy with his family. In order to seek a loan from the bank, Bharat tries to collect the required documents but gets to know that on paper he is dead. Thus, starts his struggle to prove his existence after falsely being declared dead in government records. Does he prove his existence or not forms the climax of this interesting tale?
