Kasaai is a hard-hitting political drama story based on a true event set in rural Rajasthan where village council elections are going to be held. The story revolves around the struggle of a mother Gulabi (Mita Vasisht) who is out to get justice for her 18-year-old son who gets killed by his impulsive father in a fit of anger. As the head of the family is one of the contestants in the upcoming elections, they try to cover up the crime under the garb of a concocted story so that the respect remains intact and so do their political fortunes. But Gulabi gives a damn as an unexpected turn of event brings a ray of hope for her while she decides to go against her family to get justice for her slain son. Will Gulabi succeed in turning the tables and win against her family?
