Kaun Kitne Paani Mein is a romantic comedy drama. The movie follows the story of two villages Upri and Bairi. Upri village is made up of mostly upper caste people who are extremely lazy and have no productive skills. On the other hand, Bairi village is made up of lower caste people who work really hard. For generations, people of Upri and Bairi have opposed each other because of their differences. However, when a severe water shortage hits Upri village, the leader of the village agrees to reconcile with Bairi village.
