Khazanchi is a murder mystery starring M. Esmail as Shadi Lal. The movie revolves around Shadi Lal who is a cashier in a bank in Lahore. One day, Shadi Lal goes to Bombay for some work where he’s tricked by a woman named Tarawati in a nightclub. Tarawati tries to steal Shadi Lal’s money after making him unconscious, however, while stealing the money she’s killed by her own partners. Shadi Lal wakes up next to the dead body Tarawati. Shadi Lal gets caught and his son Kanwal (an advocate) fights his case. The movie tells how the truth comes out to clear Shadi Lal of all charges.
