Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey is a historical action drama based on Manini Chatterjee's book titled Do and Die, an account of the 1930 Chittagong armoury raid. The movie revolves around Surya Sen (Abhishek Bachchan), a schoolteacher and an activist in Indian independence. Surya Sen is the leader of other revolutionaries: Ganesh Ghosh, Lokenath Bal, Ambika Chakraborty, Nirmal Sen, Ananta Singh, Pritilata Waddedar, and Kalpana Datta (Deepika Padukone). The group of revolutionaries, along with other fearless youngsters, plan to revolt against the British Government by attempting to raid the armoury of police and auxiliary forces in Chittagong in 1930.
