Krantiveer is an action crime drama that follows the story of a young man named Pratap Tilak (Nana Patekar), the grandson of freedom fighter Bheeshmanarayan Tilak. As a child, Pratap gets into the habit of gambling, which makes his mother enraged, who throws him out of the house and disowns him. Soon after, Pratap moves to Mumbai, where he saves the life of Atul (Atul Agnihotri), the son of a chawl owner, Laxminath (Paresh Rawal). Grateful to Pratap, Laxminath decides to keep Pratap with him. Years later, Chattursingh Chita (Danny Denzongpa) decides to build a resort over the chawl, and to empty the chawl, he arranges mass killing, communal riots, and burning of the house. When Laxminath tries to stand against him, he gets him killed too like others. Enraged by his mentor’s death, Pratap vows to take revenge from everyone responsible for the chaos in their chawl. It is still to be seen, will Pratap be able to stand against everyone, and bring justice to all the innocent people who lost their lives for the greed of others?
