Maatr is an action thriller revenge drama. It revolves around Vidya Chauhan (Raveena Tandon), a school teacher who lives in Delhi with her husband Ravi (Rushad Rana), and teenage daughter Tia (Alisha Khan). Things take a turn for this happy family when Vidya and her daughter, Tia are kidnapped and sexually assaulted by Chief Minister’s son Apurva Malik (Madhur Mittal). Tia dies in the incident, but Vidya survives and vows to take revenge and bring justice to her daughter.
