inspired loosely by the life and times of the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati. Mayawati (played by Richa Chadha), who was a Dalit from a poor
family was mentored by Kanshi Ram (played by Saurabh Shukla) who inspired and helped to form her own party and went on to become the chief minister of the state. The story narrates the life and journey of the lady who transformed the political scenario of the state and emerged as one of India's popular women political leaders in a short span of time.
