Made in China is a comedy-drama, which revolves around Raghuveer Mehta (Rajkummar Rao) who is a struggling small-time Gujarati businessman of Nepal handicrafts, who tries different ways of succeeding in his business but to no avail. He gets an idea of creating an aphrodisiac that consumers will buy who are looking for vitality and vigor in their sex lives. To market and make his product a success he tries it on himself and his wife before seeking partnership from a sexologist (Boman Irani) and the Chinese market. Will his product become a success; will Raghu's unusual and entrepreneurial journey make him a millionaire?
