Major is a biographical action bilingual film that portrays the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan (Adivi Sesh), an army officer who was killed in the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The film narrates the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan starting from his childhood when he aspired to join the armed forces to commanding officer of the Operation Black Tornado. The story also gives us a glimpse of how he got commissioned and what risks did he take to save several innocent lives who became hostages in the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai on 26 November 2008 during the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
