Manjhi: The Mountain Man is a biographical film based on the life of Dashrath Manjhi. The movie is set in the 1960s, Dashrath Manjhi was a poor villager who lived with his wife and a son in a small village called Gehlaur near Gaya, Bihar. There was a rocky mountain that surrounded his village and everyone had to climb the mountain whenever they wanted to go to the nearest town. One day, his pregnant wife falls while crossing the mountain and dies after giving birth to a baby girl. The incident leaves Manjhi in rage as he decides to carve a road through the mountain.
